For 2026, AFS steps into this space with INFINITY, a new range fully dedicated to foil assist. The goal is not simply to adapt existing equipment by adding a motor, but to develop a cohesive ecosystem where every single component is designed around the demands and possibilities offered by electric assistance.
The Trench boards
This first range brings together the new Trench boards, developed from the proven DNA of our BLACKBIRD MID-LENGTH. That shape is renowned for its glide, stability, and quick take-off capabilities.Its architecture has been redesigned around foil assist to integrate the system as close to the board as possible while preserving the pure sensations sought on the wave.
The integrated masts

With the INFINITY range, AFS takes foil assist into a new era. The INFINITY 80 masts, designed and built in Brittany, offer the perfect balance of stiffness, glide and manoeuvrability to go and get the best waves of your life, and ride them all the way.
Hybrid UHM + HM construction
We put all our carbon mast expertise to work to combine the best of both fibres: Ultra High Modulus, up to twice as stiff as standard carbon, for direct transmission and total control over flex and twist; High Modulus, which pairs stiffness with high resistance to absorb the specific loads of foil assist without flinching. The result: a mast as precise as it is durable, whatever the size or span of the wing used in surf foil or downwind.
A profile designed for assist
At 14 mm thick for a 110 mm chord, this mast strikes the best balance between hydrodynamic slenderness and geometric stiffness. The moderate chord, combined with a progressive thickening towards the pod, delivers all the drive needed at take-off, then frees up the manoeuvrability you want once flying. Less drag also means more range: every watt of the battery is turned into glide.
A pod height that makes sense
Pod positioned 15 cm below the plate. A height specifically engineered to keep the propeller sufficiently submerged during assisted take-offs, while allowing it to clear the water more easily once on the wave to limit its impact on glide and carving.Not too low, not too high: the height that works everywhere, for every rider size.
Two masts, two ecosystems
Developed in collaboration with Foil Drive and Manta Foils, the INFINITY 80 masts come in two versions: one dedicated to the Foil Drive system, the other to the Manta Foils system. AFS is the only brand covering both ecosystems.Each mast has been designed specifically around its motor: a perfectly faired pod, a dedicated mount and the cleanest possible integration, whatever the setup, no compromise.

To develop the BLACKBIRD INFINITY, we started from a base we know inside out: the BLACKBIRD MID-LENGTH shape, renowned for its glide, its stability and its ability to take off efficiently. Same optimised hull, same feel, plus an integration designed for foil assist.
