Wing foil packages in a nutshell

A package brings together the three parts of wing foiling: a complete foil, a board and a wing, chosen to work together. No screws or adapters to hunt for: you pick your sizes and order everything at once.

Reading the table: the front wing number is its area in cm². A big front wing lifts early and forgives your mistakes. The stabilizer is the small rear wing that keeps the foil steady. HR and HM are the carbon grades of the mast: HR, thicker, is stable and smooth, made for learning; HM, a little thinner, glides better and goes faster. More in our mast comparison. The boom is the rigid bar you hold the wing by.

The Fire V2 in the Pack Evolution has less volume than the Fly One in the Pack Access: you need to already handle your wing and get up on the foil. If you are starting from scratch, take the Pack Access. The Whitebird mid length is designed for light wind, downwind and SUP foiling. The Evo 950 has no published weight guide: ask an AFS expert before choosing it.

Which sizes to choose in your package?

Your weight decides most of it. Here are our guidelines for the front wing and the wing:

• The mast: 85 cm, the length we recommend for wing foiling.
• The Pack Access board: to learn, aim for about 40 L more than your weight in kilos (see our guide to the equipment you need to start). Above 85 kg (187 lb), the largest Fly One is slightly under that guideline: ask an AFS expert before ordering. More in our article on the best board to start.
• The Pack Evolution board: choose your Fire V2 size with an AFS expert, based on your weight and level.
• The wing: these sizes are for 15 to 20 knots of wind. For other conditions, read our guide on wing size by wind speed.

What's in the box

• the complete foil with its front wing, mast, fuselage and stabilizer covers, and a carrying case;
• all the screws, a screwdriver and the plate kit that fixes the mast under the board;
• the wing with its boom, its bag and a repair kit;
• the board, a wing leash and a board leash.

The pump is not included: plan a wing pump, plus a wetsuit, a helmet and an impact vest.

Package or individual parts?

A package gives you three parts that work together, ordered at once. Compare with the product pages of the complete foil, the board and the wing: prices are shown in your currency. Already have a board or a wing? Complete your gear with all our boards or all our wings.

Growing with your package

As you progress, you do not replace everything. Usually you first move to a smaller, faster front wing, then add a second wing to cover more wind. Once comfortable, you can also take a smaller board. The mast often lasts longer. Before buying a new front wing, an AFS expert checks it fits your fuselage.

Who makes your foil

AFS has been making foils since 2009 in its factory in Pencran, Brittany, France. The foil in your package comes from that factory; the wing is not made there. Our design office draws and tests every front wing. Visit the factory or meet the team.

In 2025, we surveyed 448 riders: what they mention first is how solid and stiff our foils are. Axel Gérard, AFS rider, is GWA surf-freestyle vice world champion (2024 season).

Frequently asked questions

What is the best wing foil package for beginners?

It depends on your level. Starting from scratch, take the Pack Access: its Fly One board has volume and its Flyer foil has a big front wing (1,500 cm² up to 75 kg, 1,800 cm² above). If you already fly on a foil and want to progress fast, take the Pack Evolution.

What do you need on top of a wing foil package?

A wing pump (it is not included), a wetsuit, a helmet and an impact vest. For the rest, see our wing foil page.

What does an AFS wing foil package include?

A complete carbon foil with its covers, case and screws, a board, a wing with its boom, bag and repair kit, and two leashes: one for the wing, one for the board.

What is the difference between the Pack Access and the Pack Evolution?

The Pack Access is for learning, with the Flyer foil, an HR mast, the Fly One board and the D-Lite wing. The Pack Evolution is for progressing fast once you fly, with the Evo foil, an HM mast, the Fire V2 or Whitebird board and the Stream One wing (D-Lite in the United States).

Can you progress with a package?

Yes, by changing one part at a time, often the front wing first. Check with an AFS expert that it fits your fuselage.
